Florentine Artisan Workshops of the Oltrarno with Aperitivo

Discover the world and history of Florentine craftmanship with exclusive visits to local artisan workshops! This will be a great opportunity to meet the artists who are working ardently to keep Florentine and Tuscan traditions alive through their handmade goods, applying centuries of technique and utilizing the best raw materials. We will explore Tuscany's key artisan craft goods such as leather, jewelry, paper, ceramics and antique relics while learning the curious stories behind them. This experience will empower you to distinguish between genuine and imitation goods. You'll meet the artisans directly and be given exclusive access to tour their production sites and learn how they are made.

Start time: 10am or 3:30pm Days: Tuesday-Friday Duration: 3 hours Inclusions: All visits drinks, food pairings and personable, bilingual tour leader.

Please note: This experience is apart of Curious Appetite’s private collection and is not a join-in group tour with other travelers. Your private party can be 2-10 but the minimum ticket purchase is 6. The specific tastings listed are subject to season and availability, each private group will have the opportunity to bespoke this experience to their wishes. 

Ticket Cost:  $95 (equating €80eu) per person. Private Experience Cost: 6 ticket minimum for groups up to 6 and up to 10 tickets may be purchased at a time. For private groups larger than 10 please send us a note via “request additional info.”

  Not included: Travel insurance, transport, additional tastings and trip cancellation insurance. Optional add-ons (available for private tours): Hands-on jewelry making, paper making lesson and/or cocktail making lesson.

There are options to partake in production workshops, just make a note in your inquiry if you'd like to participate in a hands-on workshop related to bookbinding, paper-making or jewelry making. We will visit a minimum of 3 artisans in the Oltrarno district of Florence, home to artists and craftsmen. The AFTERNOON tour will end with a craft cocktail aperitivo at a nearby vintage lounge, also showcasing artisan made jewelry and bags. If you book in the morning, you'll be treated to a gelato, time permitting
